Just to mix things up I thought I’d do a video where I talk about a couple things that have gone into a piece of music. Often in this space I share a draft — but still a more or less “whole” sounding piece — of music without exposing much of the “messiness” behind the process. This is just one degree more of me putting some of the process in front of you.
By the way if you want to “nerd out” even more with me, a couple of years ago I made a series of videos for YouTube about sound design on synthesizers (particularly owners of the synth I use but with content translatable to most anyone interested in the topic). It can get technical but even if you’re not proficient in the language of sound design this one might be kind of fun to check out — I design an “audio illusion” called a Shepard-Risset Glissando. It’s where a tone seems to ascend or descend infinitely.
Hope you have a nice day!
